2012-2014 Studies at the School of Crafts and Design, Ikaalinen Finland

I am studying in Finland at the Ikaalinen College of Crafts and Design to become an artisan in stained glass. I have learned a lot about glass, both cold working proccesses and hot glass proccesses both 2D and 3D. 

 

My studies so far have included lead technique, stained glass, glass painting, making glass beads, patè de verre-technique, mosaics, mould techniques, glass production in series, architectonic work and I also know how to sandblast glass and use different machines like glass saw, grinding, fusing and slumping. The tradition of drawing is still very strong in the designing process.

 

I am one who loves bright colours and recycled materials. I am always trying to find re-use for materials and materials already exicisting.
